So, as I was relaxing with my coffee this morning (some of the bunch of coffee that I brought back with me from Kenya) I came across these personality tests on Dr. Gary Chapman's website, I thought I would share. For those that are curious to their love language and their apology language click on the links to find out what speaks to your heart the most.
The Languages of Apology
The Love Language Personality Profile
These are so helpful in who you are as a person, and how others can communicate with you, that is more meaningful.
My results...were just as I suspected, which is pretty good.
My two top languages of Apology is Expressing Regret and Accepting Responsibility, a simple sorry is all I need, but being responsible for your actions, without proving to me that you need to do something in return...saves me from thinking you are an idiot, you can admit it yourself. Sad but true...funny but not!
My top Love Language...hmmm...Quality Time, for those of you that know me...I am all about the time I get to spend with you! If I can go watch TV with someone, have coffee, just talk, I feel loved. If that is your gift...watch out...I do it well. And Acts of Service, if you do something to help me out, or do work along side of me, that is something special, or even go and wash my car...its better than a pick up line. One love language I despise, ok, I don't hate it, Words of Affirmation... I really don't need to be told I am appreciated because I am good at what I do, or be told because you are good at planning something, you should plan and organize something. I love getting the idea and getting to run with it, not being expected to do something because that is what my gifting is.
So as I learn more about me...I want to share how you can learn more about yourselves, especially if you are frustrated that you can't figure out others or yourself.

Happy New Year!
Well it is only 9 days into the New Year and I have neglected to wish you all a Happy New Year!
Happy New Year!!!
I hope you all had a great Christmas and Holiday season with your families!!
I had the whirlwind of a time with family, here and on the Coast! It was great to see everyone in my family this year!!
My first stop to see my brother and his family! It was great to see the family there, so much to catch up on in such so little time, and so little sleep! Let's just say, with children involved Christmas day began at 5 am when I was asked when reasonable time was to get up, in my books reasonable would've been like 8 or 9 but knowing the kids I said 7 and turned over and went back to sleep! Little did I know that 6 was the new 7. And the day began! As much as that was a blur...it was a great day!!
Then I was off to Vancouver to see the rest of the family, once I settled there...we were off! It was instant boxing day shopping, and more parties to go to! Don't worry, I did crash at some point during the weekend but it was well worth it.
The next big thing, was heading to Squamish to meet up with Jennine's friend, but someone that grew up across the street from us. We had a great time, and even had someone ask us as we were in the grocery store if we were going to a party cause we were so dressed up...ha ha ha...city girls in a small town!!
The exciting part of the week was meeting my brother, Dean's girlfriend. They had met on line and met for the first time themselves that week. It was great to finally meet Tanya, and to see my brother happy! The exciting news of the holidays, is that they are engaged to get married!!
So Happy New Year to you all!
May God bless you this year, in the expected and the unexpected things that He brings your way!

The Christmas Story!
For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government shall be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this. - Isaiah 9:6

And the angel said to her, Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found grace with God. And listen! You will become pregnant and will give birth to a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus. He will be great (eminent) and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to Him the throne of His forefather David, And He will reign over the house of Jacob throughout the ages; and of His reign there will be no end. And Mary said to the angel, How can this be, since I have no husband?
Then the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and so the holy Thing which shall be born of you will be called the Son of God.
And listen! Your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is now the sixth month with her who was called barren. For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.
Then Mary said, Behold, I am the handmaiden of the Lord; let it be done to me according to what you have said. And the angel left her.
IN THOSE days it occurred that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that the whole Roman empire should be registered. This was the first enrollment, and it was made when Quirinius was governor of Syria. And all the people were going to be registered, each to his own city or town.
And Joseph also went up from Galilee from the town of Nazareth to Judea, to the town of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, To be enrolled with Mary, his espoused (married) wife, who was about to become a mother.
And while they were there, the time came for her delivery, And she gave birth to her Son, her Firstborn; and she wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room or place for them in the inn.
And in that vicinity there were shepherds living in the field, watching over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord flashed and shone all about them, and they were terribly frightened.
But the angel said to them, Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which will come to all the people. For to you is born this day in the town of David a Savior, Who is Christ (the Messiah) the Lord! And this will be a sign for you: you will find a Baby wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger. [I Sam. 2:34; II Kings 19:29; Isa. 7:14.]
Then suddenly there appeared with the angel an army of the troops of heaven (a heavenly knighthood), praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom He is well pleased.
When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us. So they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Baby lying in a manger. And when they saw it, they made known what had been told them concerning this Child, And all who heard it were astounded and marveled at what the shepherds told them.
Be blessed this Christmas season!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Thanks for being a part of the journey this past year! The good, the bad and the ugly!
