So just so you have something to pray for me about!
Today I resigned from my position at International Services, effective today.
Due to circumstances, I made this choice through much wisdom that I sought out and much prayer time with God. The rest of my term here, which is just under two weeks will be spent up at RVA spending time with family and working on a few projects.
I intend to spend the next few days saying my goodbyes to several of my friends here, trying hard not to make haste and leave.

I get it!
Ok, I heard you all from so far away...where is Joelle??? No blog post all week, you would think that I disappeared or something crazy!
Well I am thankful for Facebook but apologize for not being on my blog. I have had great intentions of posting...
Well, it has been one of those weeks at the office that has just been flying by, but it also has been a week that I don't think I have been in the office that much either. Every day this week I managed to leave early or be MIA, the results were to get a gift for my boss as today was his last day. My assignment was to get a photo framed in less than two days...Don't worry I did it!
The lady that I made friends with at the frame store was great. We discovered in my second visit there, that she has done lots of work for my brother. Small world! She is always so excited to see me that it makes it a fun visit, and we usually have a great chat to boot.
This week has also had its funny moments, ok so I have a knack...of having unique experiences. Ha ha...well said. Last night a group of us made our way across town to see a high school play called Suessical, it was great fun and just brilliant. I managed to get the attention of random people on the way there, while I stayed safely in my car...
Today...I almost died laughing...now this is a funny story!!!
I was getting some supplies from our receptionist, while I was there two other Kenyan guys walked up. The receptionist Rosemary started talking to one of the young men beside me in Swahili. She started asking the guy how many cows and goats he had. Now for those that don't understand where this is going...a Kenyan man usually pays for his wife in goats and cows. For some reason the word has left me as to what it is called. The guy told the lady that he only had 2 cows and I think 50 goats.
Well, me...in the middle of this conversation felt that I was being left out of the swahili talk, I lately just pipe in my swahili word of the day. Today it was kitogo.
So this is how the conversation goes:
Rosemary: How many goats and cows do you have? You should keep this beautiful woman, offer her something.
Young man: I only have 2 cows and 50 goats
ME: Kitogo - mean...'very little' (and I exit and leave the conversation)
I left the group in laughter, I thinking that they are laughing because I just offered my word of the day.
I came back downstairs to hear the story, ha ha ha...made for a good laugh to the end of my day.

Words of Wisdom
So I just posted as my Facebook status,
"Speed Bumps, in life and on the road are no fun"
Aint that the truth! I was thinking today I was driving around, how much I absolutely hate speed bumps here in the city. Now where do you drive that people stop to go over speed bumps??? I have no patience for that.
Then as I wasn't even thinking about blogging, I was like speed bumps in life are pretty annoying especially when you are on you way in life, to a successful career, to pursuing a relationship, to unexpected financial losses. Life's speed bumps slow us down, often cause us to turn around and try another approach but also builds perseverance as in that if at first we didn't succeed, try try again.
It goes with this verse...my memory verse for the week!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, let us run with perseverance, the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who with joy set before us endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. Heb 12:1-3

It is the small things in Life!
It is the small things in life that really just make a good day ...GREAT!
As from my previous post about getting a free car, I went to pick it up this morning! I am a little nervous about having a car again from this guy because if something happens again...it is money coming out of my pocket! A little too much thought into that.
So I got the car back and you will never guess but I got the same car back that I had from the accident, all fixed and like new. The reason he gave me the car...which makes no gain for either of us but he didn't spend all the money I gave him and it was easier for him to give me the car back for a week than to just give me money.
But it isn't about the money, it is the small things. After a week of stress I feel like I have sanity for the moment, I have the car that I enjoy, I don't have to worry about packing for a few days. I am selling my things that I can't take home. It is just a peace that God revealed to me that things will work out.
Last night I had a conversation with a good friend here, just so you know this week has been one that is hard emotionally on everyone. People are tired and just want things to return to normal. There are a few events that have happened that I haven't told you about.
Black Family Evac
While I was gone out of the city, I received news that a missionary family up in Northern Kenya were shot at by bandits. This was a random attack, where they shoot at the vehicle to make the occupants stop and rob them, they usually shoot some warning shots and then to the wrists and then to the head. This family received in their vehicle four rounds of shots. There were nine people in their vehicle, one received a serious gun shot wound. The wife of the driver got a bullet to the leg, shattering her femur. Our AIM Air pilots did an emergency medivac out of the region. We have a pilot based in Gatab that flew in and landed on the road to transport the lady to the nearest town, where she met with a doctor that we flew in from Nairobi. The decision was made to get her to the hospital, it was a life and death situation.
She has now under gone numerous surgeries but is resting well, this last week they inserted a rod in her leg to support the bone growth. We praise God that there has been no infection or greater complications. She is resting in a hospital in Kijabe with her family. Please pray for the Black family as they heal emotionally and physically. This truly has been a situation that we all can see God in from the pilots that arranged the evac via the roadway, if she was to drive to the next town she would've lost too much blood and may have died or even lost her leg.
CAR Maintenance
Well on top of all else that could happen, last Friday we received word that a plane in CAR Congo needed maintenance. Without divulging the whole story that is classified, a situation that could've been worse wasn't thankfully. But once again, AIM was in crisis mode. A team was put together to fly to Uganda and then into Uganda, repairs were made and the plane made it back to Nairobi base.
Through all these events you can be praying for AIM IS, people are tired and life seem uncertain. You have about 30 missionaries families that have just gone through the hardest year that anyone in ministry should. Being as a central hub to all that is happening, we also embrace the what is happening to others. Life isn't normal in missions, God is at work in the unexpected ways but prayer for our hearts in the unexpected is big for all of us to be able to take in stride.
WARNING TO THOSE THAT ALREADY HAVE A TEAR IN THEIR EYE FOR THE MISSIONARIES HERE.
Here are the pictures of the project that I was working on for our Director's office last week. A tribute to great men of faith who finished well, good and faithful Servants.

So here is the scoop!
Well, here is a recap of my week!
Last Friday I was eagerly awaiting news that my friend from Canada had made it into Nairobi. Thursday afternoon before I left the office I had just seen a quick news clip, not thinking much more about Rachel coming in I went off on my way. That night we were joking with Charlie, who has been visiting here in Kenya since January, because of delaying his flight and then being canceled due to the BA strike, if he was actually going home. He was like, yeah nothing will stop me now! Half way through dinner, I was like the funniest thing happened today that I read, that all flights are canceled into London. Now you all know me, it could've come across as the best prank even if it wasn't true. Charlie thought I had him going, and it just happened to be that Randy got on the phone with his dad who was on his way out here too and went along with everything I said. Charlie didn't believe me, he really thought I had a joke going and Randy was playing along.
Well the next day I got a call from Rachel, she made it...it was wonderful! It was great to hear updates from home and as I prepare to go back and to receive a few items that I was very grateful for. We met up for dinner and talked until she had to catch her bus. It was a great time!
Some of the funnies that happened that night...well we met up at a Mall that I usually don't get to so I decided to head up early, I also had to pick up something for work, so I made it a 2 for 1 trip, worthwhile in the traffic here. I was also told by a close friend that the shoe store that is here, called Bata, has some cute sandals that are worth taking home and they are cheap. So once I went and picked my 'errand' up, I will post pictures of that later, I decided to check out the shoe store. Once I entered I remembered why I didn't like the store...it is hot and stuffy and not comfortable to endure shoe shopping. So I toured the store in discomfort, I finally found a pair that I thought were cute and snazzy! They were a whooping $5.98, so what is a girl to do when she finds a sweet deal like that??? Keep looking...so all in all I found a couple pairs of shoes, they won't last very long but are worth it over the cuteness.
But the story just doesn't stop there...while I was trying on shoes in the store the salesman that came to help me, I started some small talk and was being nice. I actually tried on a pair of heels and was surprised when they were comfortable, he said "really??". I was like, "you haven't tried these out yourself?". So by the end of the visit, the man asked where I was from and said that he has always wanted to visit Canada. But then...there is more...while I was standing at the cash desk, there was this man there that said something funny, so I just smiled to myself. Well, he noticed and was like, I like you smiley friend. I left thinking, ok...I just make random friends everywhere it seems. Well what almost made me laugh out loud, was while I was leaving...two guys outside the store caught my attention and were like, "hello, beautiful". I thought that was the icing on the cake.
So, later that night I was on my way home...traffic has been bad for some reason around the city at odd times. It was late, but not too late and the way I decided to go home was fairly clear, until one of the only hills I came across, traffic was backed up. Now, this is usually not a concern but I was driving a new vehicle for me, it is a van, that is manual transmission (with the left hand) and the clutch lets out high. So, as I approached down the hill before it went up...I prayed hard. When I got on the hill...traffic continued to move...and then it stopped....well I didn't really panic but it was cause for a rapid heart beat and sweat. I made it up the hill...but once at the top we stopped again. This time it wasn't too bad but then time for the ultimate laugh for the night.
the car next to me, noticed that my window was down...and decided to pass on greetings.
Now...I need to describe the family vehicle that I am driving....is a mini van, sort of like the old Toyota model vans...with no nose and is tall and skinny and long.
You know...me and Rachel were talking about how you in Canada think that marriage proposals just get handed out....this would be a good example.
The rest of the weekend was great, our office had an Ice Cream Social with homemade ice cream and all the toppings you can ever imagine. I made a chocolate sauce that tasted the better than I thought would turn out.
Saw Mt. Kilimanjaro from the office that day...a rare sighting but beautiful once again...that means that I have seen it three times in the last month.
So...I have been blessed with funny things this week to make it a light week!

Blessings and Stresses
So I know most of you look forward to my Monday morning starts to the week to hear about the funny moments of my weekend or the previous week. Well yesterday I was hit with a case of being grumpy and today I put together the puzzle that I am starting to stress out.
Stress has not been a part of my life for a good part of the last year. I normally handle things well but it is usually one more thing that will push me over the edge. I sat back after prayer with my good friend Gwen yesterday and realized. Three weeks until I get on an airplane home. I need to pack, visit with family, clean out the office, unknown about what the future has for me, unknown about flights home...about how that could affect me, having no car, trying to visit friends here before I leave... the list goes on. There are some things that aren't even worth mentioning, those are the things that brought tears to me yesterday. I try not to complain here, things come to me in stride...most situations are difficult but I voice my opinion and wonders what unusual will happens next. I would like to announce...I don't want to see what happens next anymore.
I have had a sense this last week that being single on the mission field people are usually more than willing to help you out...or more often than not more willing to leave you out to dry and watch you flounder. I know that is extreme but to be honest, it is true.
I have been warned here that there are three things you don't mess with a missionary about that is family, housing and finances. Considering one doesn't really apply to me...the other two have been messed with...and I tell you it is not a fun experience. Adds way more stress than needed in any situation.
I know that I don't need to worry about anything but this week has felt like everything possible is coming at me. This month with unexpected expenses and the burden that this is the month that everyone is asking for money. This is not an exaggeration...culturally it is normal to ask for money...no matter what! For instance, the day of my accident...instead of going through insurance, I paid cash out of my pocket. That night I got home...my gate guard asked for money as his wife just had a baby and needed to pay the hospital bills. The week after my outside worker asked for a loan...not just once but continually throughout the whole week and is still knocking on my gate. The the next week as I was leaving my gate, another guard asked me for money. I also had a kid chase me down the road asking for money, this time it was too freaky for me and I was mad that I felt so vulnerable. Explaining to Kenyans that I have had unexpected bills like themselves come up...it is a choice for me between living this month...or not being able to buy bread and eggs, they don't get it. All these requests have been made in 2 1/2 weeks...
The other stress in housing...I have put it out that I have had the worse housing experience ever as a short term missionary. From moving three times in the first three weeks that I was here, to be given roommates unexpectedly, to having to move but no place to go, to finally having a place and then being asked to move again. I have once again been ask or much rather been told to move again. This time it happened the morning that I returned to Nairobi after a week of vacation and was asked where I was moving too. I was like the next move I do is to Canada. Not only once...I was told twice more in not so nice ways to move. It has come down to a fight...not that I am being stubborn but strongly feel that if I don't need to move...I am not going to pack up and live out of suitcase for the next three weeks.
So that is the stresses of life for me right now...I am praying and ask for prayer that I will have patience and grace in these situations.
So...I have to end my note with my blessings that I have received, God is good!
So when I was in Mombasa, I spent lots of time on the phone with the car guy, people from the office, you name it...it was the week that people wanted to get a hold of me, even my contact in Canada was urgently trying to get a hold of me to confirm flight details. It was funny.
One of the text messages I received was from the car guy (the guy I leased the car from before the accident). Well not sure if I told you the whole story about our conversation that we had the next day but it sort of went like this. The night before I prayed about it, I went to the meeting with peace in my heart that if I was to return the car, I would, if I had to pay for the damages I would. I had no one else to blame and I couldn't be mad at the situation. When I sat with Kmal, he insisted I was like his daughter (makes for a funny story another time) but he didn't want to have to be the mean tough one in taking away my car and making me pay. To both, I was like I understand and definitely will do both. He then started to do damage control, he was like I don't want you to be mad at me and I don't want you to leave here being upset...tell me now if you are upset. I was like...Kmal I understand completely that you have a business to run I am more than willing to do as you ask and I will continue to spread your name to those that need your services. I have had nothing but a good experience but no reason to be mad.
The sms that he sent me, was thank you Joelle you may use a free car whenever you wish, I want to help you out.
My first thought...right...
Never gave it a second thought until last week. One of my co workers here specifically called me up to tell me something from Kmal. Chris said...Joelle, I have to tell you, I had a meeting with Kmal this week and he wants me to tell you that you made a huge impact on him by your reaction to the accident and handling the details of the car after. You handled it with grace and that meant more to Kmal than you realize.
My second thought on the free car...ah...God is blessing me for being a servant.
So this week as I was told about moving and being asked for money, I was also told that I shouldn't be driving the vehicle I have either. I have been blessed with a free car from my cool car guy Kmal.
***Just so you know...I do have funny stories from the weekend...they will be coming tomorrow***

So encouragement to you...through all that you may experience good and bad God will bless you for it all. The jewels in your crown are being shined and put in place for the time you reach heaven. You may not always be blessed here on earth but the riches you have stored up in heaven will abound and God sees you as a perfect gift to those that you touch on earth.I have seen God at work in many ways here in Nairobi, some days I don't see me in that but it is not about me. I often wondered when I got here how I was impacting the mission field but I see it day to day in my relationships that I have built here either with the Kenyan staff or the missionary staff. Leaving them is going to be hard emotions have become bittersweet already.
***Just so you know...I do have funny stories from the weekend...they will be coming tomorrow***

Nairobi Game Park
So where else can you say that you saw Giraffe's in your back yard?
Well a few weeks ago it was my first adventure into the Nairobi Game Park, and yes it is a game park located in Nairobi, it is actually just South of the City on the way out to Karen (remember Karen Blixen in Out of Africa?).
Well, first of all, I do have to call it an adventure...and I do apologize for not having pictures so that you can see it...but it was impossible to get photos of the adventure part.
Just as the first disclaimer to the build up of our adventure. When I got here almost a year ago, Kenya was in the midst of the worse drought ever, with no good rains during rainy season, many things were drying up, crops were devastated and power rations were normal to be scheduled but were often daily. Well I do have to thank God for providing...providing us with rains that have started good harvests in the field that are leaving many grateful.
So back to the trip in the game park...we, it was Kev, his girlfriend Rachel, a guy from SP that Kev works with Golden, our driver Caleb (ok...he works at the hangar with me, not some random guy I found), and myself. So we started our day at 6 am or closer to 6:30, it was all a morning fuzz to me and I was really sick with a cold, so I had some lemon honey tea in hand, hoping that I wasn't going to loose my voice. We met up and made our way over to the park, the morning was raining sprinkles and the sky was grey. We finally made it into the park shortly after 7 am...
As we were entering we were driving through the roadways until it eventually hit the dirt road...as we came around the corner we were welcomed to the park by the hosts of the day!
We then came across these guys...the Cape Buffalo. Notice the city buildings in the background? This is one of the Big Five in Africa, also known as "Black Death" here in Africa.

Four Giraffes, two babies and two mama's
These Giraffe's were just hanging out on the road, just to think these are the tallest of all land living species, weighing over 1,200 lbs. If you have seen a giraffe walk you will notice that they are one of the few animals that move both their left legs at the same time and then their right. The only other animal I have see do this is a camel.
Cape Buffalo
Ostriches
Then the start of many Ostriches...that are the largest bird in the world and one of the fastest. Sadly we didn't get to see any of them running around.
Hartebeest
Then these little guys were everywhere as well, they are Hartebeest...as much as you would see Wildebeest in the Mara, they were throughout the park.
More Hartebeest
Then the next part of our journey...was me holding on for dear life in the Land Cruiser with my camera bouncing on my lap, my cell phone flying off my lap, and the best when I was looking through my pictures on my camera... a picture of my lap in all the bumps. You see...we took a path that half way down it Caleb says...wow the ground it getting softer. After a week of heavy rains you can well imagine how saturated the ground is with water. Well...at this point we were holding on...and saying don't stop now...we will have to get out and push and dig. Well....we didn't stop and as we headed towards the end of the road...not knowing where to go we started to navigate our way to turn around, with the ultimate goal of not getting stuck. We did it but on the way back we saw another vehicle stuck in the muck, we were unable to stop to help (for fear that we would become stuck as well)... So after our weekend before...and enjoying the mud...lets just say our fun continued. We continued to splash our ways through all the big mud puddles, help someone else that got stuck out, and also...watch silly people try not to get stuck in their little cars.
Here are some more pictures of what we saw...
Our tour markers...the Giraffe
We called this one a Secretary Bird
The Secretary Bird, is the national bird of Sudan...hmmm interesting. It isn't a good shot of it here as I have noticed seeing these ones I have always seen their back sides running away. But something more interesting is that these birds are a bird of prey...like an eagle but they do all their hunting on the ground instead by air.
Rhinoceros
Another one of the Big Five...the Rhino! We saw these from far far away...I looked over and said...it is the Rhinos, apparently there is only five in the park...and we got to see three of them.
More Rhinos!
Here is my poster picture of the day!
Just the park...no animals hiding in here!
there is me...
So for most of the day we were also on a lion hunt...I think cause the park was so wet that we didn't get to see them. We also didn't make it down to the watering hole with the hippos, it was too muddy to trek down there.
So for my experiences of the Big Five...I am still yet to be able to see the Leopard in the wild. I have seen it in Africa, if that counts but I saw it in the Animal Orphanage here in Nairobi.
Bug Pictures
So...as I was sitting reading one night, I noticed this black spot crawling across the floor, I immediately jumped up and turned on all the lights to get a look at this creature. Amazingly enough...it stopped...it didn't try to run or hide!
My immediate thought...I don't have any bug pictures...so I grabbed my camera...

And then I did anything a good bug killer would do...
I trapped it...so I didn't have to kill it and saved it for the next day when my brother came down to dispose of it. Funny enough...Todd just left it...so it stayed trapped for several days.
Now I think it is dead (I am hoping it is dead).

Unknown Bug species
And then I did anything a good bug killer would do...
An Africa Bug Trapper, it is even disposable.
Now I think it is dead (I am hoping it is dead).

News to Use for Prayer
Well, as you can all see I had a great week off with relaxing and such!
What I failed to mention is that before I left the office before Easter things were pretty tense with a decision made from our International Office that is located in the UK. I knew leaving the office that the decision made by the International Office was going to cause changes to ripple throughout our organization here at International Services.
Well, while I was gone I got the news that the Director of IS resigned from his position to continue on in AIM Air in ministry as a pilot.
As the Personal Assistant to the Director, that effects my role significantly in the last month that I am here. So I ask for prayer this week and the remaining time here that for the future of International Services, for leadership and guidance in this time. There are many questions of what is going to happen and what needs to happen. The Director is here from our International Office and holding some key meetings this week.
Thank you for all your prayer support this past year, I have learned that within this past year there is no smooth road in Kenya (no pun intended but a good one). Every moment has brought through perseverance and has only made each of us stronger!

Mombasa
So, I am back from Mombasa and had a great time! It was beautiful and hot, now you all know that I like hot weather but our days would start at 30 degrees and end at about 29 degrees, it was fabulous!
Our week away started with a great start at 4 am leaving from Nairobi, a day in a vehicle entertaining three kids! You would never believe me if I told you that I made a game out of the reflection of my cell phone on the ceiling, for a good hour there was laughter. We also got the kids excited of who would be the first to see a Palm tree and then the Ocean. The way home was a little non exciting but Aunt Joelle pulled out the MP3 player and Ella enjoy Il Divo and Zoegirl music. Cassidy ended up with the whole player by herself for a bit and Titus enjoyed some DC Talk. It kept the kids quiet for quite a bit and worthwhile for the sanity of all!
Ella got to experience squatting to pee outside on the side of the road for the first time with Aunt Joelle, um...yeah not so successful on the first time around.
Swimming
Cassidy learned how to swim on her back and swam across the entire length of the pool by herself. Titus showed us his new skill of breathing under water but wasn't so good at it after he inhaled part of the pool. Ella was very brave and was jumping into the water with her bright pink water wings on but wasn't so sure of herself in the floating part but after a while with Aunt Joelle I managed to let go of her at times but I also let her do some kicking and blowing bubbles in the water, she loved it.
Dutch Blitz
Cassidy also learned how to play Dutch Blitz by her Aunt teaching her, let me say it was a moment that I enjoyed. Ella just learned that Dutch Blitz cards were fun to play with because they were girl and boys on the cards. We also learned that in the hot weather dutch blitz cards were super fun. (you will have to come back to see the picture later this week).
Sand Castles
Well, the week would not have been complete without building sandcastles with the Dubber's. We build three creations, one had a tunnel from one to the other. And the next had a few additions of creative Aunt Joelle. Titus didn't think that I could add the creative touch to it but he like it all by the time we were done. The last day we were there we build an amazing Hippo, named it Hip-Pogogo. I enjoyed this one as I shaped the head and it was perfect (not bragging) but there are no pictures to brag about it so you will just have to take my word.
Seaweed
Ok, I have to put this story in...it was pretty funny. During the week Cassidy and I hung out quite a bit the last day we were there we went down to the beach to go surf the waves. Well as we got there the waves were huge and strong but we still went out in the water to surf the waves. Some of the waves looked like they were fifty feet further out but once they made it in towards the beach got alittle smaller. Well Cassidy and I were floating in the waves for a bit and there were bunches of seaweed in the water, one just happen to snuggle in to the top of my bathing suit, Cassidy plucked it out just as fast as it got in there. She said, oh no all we have to say now is seaweed and we are going to laugh. Well I made the story a bit better as we got back to the house, we were washing our hair together in the shower. I kicked her out of the shower so I could rinse the sand out of my suit, while I was doing that I was like eww there is seaweed in here. She just laughed and said...where did you find it? I told her that I found it up top in my suit and that was it we lost all our laughter out there.
Family
It was a great week spend with family, some great conversations, some of the greatest laughing moments. I taught my family a great new game that we played every night. We headed to RVA yesterday, going from plus 30 degrees to 20 (I think, it could've been colder) I froze and to boot, I managed to forget my overnight bag when I repacked in Nairobi, so I went with the clothes on my back, it made for a good laugh. Now I can't believe it is over already, that means that there is now less than a month until I return to Canada.
Happy Ending!
My flight details were confirmed, I leave Nairobi on May 12th and arrive in Canada on the 13th of May. I am looking forward to seeing all of you.

Cassidy all dressed up for swimming...too bad it was too late to go out!

A new way of playing with Dutch Blitz Cards!
This was our game all week long!
Even Titus thought it was fun!

Hello Cassidy!
Everyone worked hard, the extra wall was the barrier from the incoming tide!
Stopped to take a picture of the Sunset...
Titus and Cassidy
The next day Titus' Sand Castle with some help from Dad and Aunt Joelle
It was a large kingdom
Cassidy built a small little village
Mom played frisbee with Dad
Titus worked
The girls played
Ella added some cheese to the beach
(camera was too focused...but isn't she a cutie)

These were the flower in our house, every day was a new bouquet!

Happy April Fools Day
My most favourite holiday ever!
And sadly none of which has happened this week is a joke!
So I thought in keeping with tradition...I wouldn't play any jokes today but go down memory lane on some of the good jokes I have played!
Telling someone I was pregnant...this was a good one, I had someone going for a good three hours about how it just happened and I didn't mean for it to, and how I was going to keep the baby! I was convincing.
The guys photos...this one was lots of work but totally fun. There was these guys that I know that all use to live together...well they thought it was cool that they had mug shots of all the guys that lived in the house...including an honorary roommate. Well I stole the pictures off the wall, tucked them up my shirt, and made an excuse to go to my car. I then used these pictures in a photo arrangement, around Market Mall. We got random people to pose with the pictures. Then...I created an email address and sent it out to all our friends! It was perfect! We even put some in the bath tub...and said "rub a dub rub three men in a tub!" Made bacon lingerie (don't ask).
Another one was, I think this one year the men were always going on about panties just sounds wrong. So I bought a couple pairs for some fun. Well this one friend, he just got super creepy out by them so on April Fools day I got a pair of the most raciest pair I could find...for cheap and stuck it on his windshield of his car.
Other pranks include lots of saran wrap, cars, toilets, doorways! Lots of cars actually, in the cold...like minus 30 cold.
Oh the one with the best memory was one summer we went down to Creation Festival in Washington State. One night, I got plastic spiders and put them in the girls tent. Lots of the girls didn't like spiders. In the guys tent, I got this sweet pair of granny style underwear that had SpongeBob Squarepants on it, we laid it on someone's pillow. Well we stayed up super late that night, and as we finally went to bed, I walked by the guys tent and I heard someone ask...hey Andrew are these yours? And then I walked by the girls tent and I hear eww there are spiders everywhere. Then almost in unison, I hear...Cam was this you? from both the tents. I tried so hard not to laugh as I claimed innocence and saw my friend get the blame but it was worthwhile. The underwear is still somewhere today, I am sure it would come through and magically appear someday!
Another fun one was at Bible College and during reading week, everyone left campus, there was only me and two other girls on our floor. Well, me and a RA started to have some fun. We switched all the beds around, the whole mattress with the bed made and everything so that when people walked into their rooms it didn't look right. It was so much fun doing, we had a blast...and as people started to arrive at the end of the week, confusion started and the laughter began.
I am sure that there has been more, but that is the good ones that I could think of this week!
