I didn't get a chance to update this post earlier but please remember Caroline, a Kenyan co-worker here at the hangar, and her family. Early Monday morning she got the phone call that no parent wants to receive. She received word that her son, David, died in an aircraft accident in Michigan. Her son was in his early twenties, with a commercial pilot license rented an airplane from a nearby airport. Shortly after take off it seemed that he encountered problems and the plane went down. There are no details of the cause of this yet, but he had a passenger with him. Emma also died in the crash.
Please pray for these two families, David's family who is all here in Kenya, and Emma's family who is from Illinos. The students were well known and heavily involved in activities at Hope College, are dearly missed. David was pursuing more training in hopes of being involved in mission aviation.
